AGI House: Built for Humans, Inherited by Agents

Every interface agents are hitting right now — the browser, the factory floor, the glasses on your face, the phone in your pocket — was designed for a human on the other end. That assumption is breaking down fast. This month at AGI House, robotics founders mapped the gap between demo and deployment, researchers argued about what world models actually are and whether we need them, and builders spent a Sunday designing agents for an interface that's always on. Here's what the rooms where this is being figured out looked like. May 2026 · 5 min read

Internet of Agents Build Day May 16th @ AGI House

The web was built for humans. That's about to change. For every person online, there will soon be hundreds of agents — browsing, transacting, authenticating, navigating. The infrastructure isn't ready. This build day is about building what comes next.

Keynotes from Josh Payne (Founder, Coframe), Div Garg (Founder, AGI Inc.), and Nischal Nadhamuni (Co-Founder, Klarity), plus guests we're not naming yet. $10k+ in cash prizes. Thank you to Coframe, Guild.AI, Khosla Ventures, Topology, HF0, Nat Friedman, and OpenHome.

The web is already splitting into two surfaces — one for humans, one for agents — and the infrastructure wasn't built for either to coexist. This memo maps who's building what before Saturday.

Google Gemini Build Day May 30th @ AGI House

Oriol Vinyals — co-lead of Gemini (with Jeff Dean)— will be joined by researchers and engineers from across the Google DeepMind team for a full day of research talks and building: frontier model changes and what they open up, coding agents and context engineering, open weights vs. proprietary capability, and a deep-dive into Google's agentic API for teams building in production.

AGI House is going to Boston on 5/31

Multi-agent orchestration is one of the hardest open problems in applied AI right now. On May 31st, we're bringing the Boston builder community together at MIT to hack on it.

Build the best agent system in the room and you'll take home a G2 robot dog (and other fun prizes TBA). Partnering with Weights & Biases and local groups including TNT and Sundai Club to make this the best stop of #BosTechWeek.

We will also be in NYC on June 4th

It's back! Last time we brought together founders, investors, and researchers on the water during NYC Tech Week — Ali Partovi, Seth Rosenberg, Jonathan Frankle, Curtis Northcutt & many more. This year we're doing it again, with a similar group and the same two hours on the water with the people building and funding what comes next. 80–100 people, no booths or panels, just the Manhattan skyline and the right room. Thank you to Alpha Square Group, Fidelity Private Shares, and MongoDB!

Rich Miner, Even Realities, and Proactive Agents

On April 26th, AGI House and Even Realities brought builders together around one question: what does agent design look like when the interface is always on?

Will Wang, founder of Even Realities, made the case simply: voice in, visual out, subtle enough to actually wear. The G2 is already in builders' hands. Rich Miner (Android co-founder) gave it a framework — one agent that knows you well, a few specialists for everything else. The hard problem isn't capability. It's context.

A note from Even Realities:

Thank you to everyone who joined. Tag us on X and Instagram — we'd love to see what you built, and use BUILDWITHEVEN at checkout for $50 off your G2 glasses!

AGI Dinner Series: Physical AI — From Demo to Deployment

Twenty robotics founders, researchers, and engineers sat down at AGI House on April 23rd to answer one question: why does every robotics demo look incredible and every deployment story sound like a war journal?

Marco Pavone (Stanford / NVIDIA), Jesse Levinson (CTO, Zoox), Stuart Bowers (Google DeepMind), and Samir Menon (CEO, Dexterity) were in the room, among others. The answers were uncomfortable — and worth reading.

AGI Dinner Series: World Models, Agents, and the Path to AGI

Oriol Vinyals (VP Research, Google DeepMind; Gemini co-architect), Jiajun Wu (Stanford, vision & robotics), Nazneen Rajani (CEO, Collinear; ex-Hugging Face), Andrew Dai (CEO, Elorean AI) & more were in the room on April 27th for this one. The question on the table: what actually gets us to AGI?

One definition from the room stuck: AGI is an agent that can learn from experience at a reasonable rate. Under that definition, it might be closer than it feels.
